Job Summary
Handle heavy call volume, customer service, and administrative tasks with handling a high volume of calls, consistently provide excellent customer service, troubleshoot and problem solving for incoming phone questions, issues, escalations and/or complaints. Perform work in ways that contribute to the university's successful achievement of enrollment goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Addressing incoming caller questions in depth with regards to Admissions/Office of the Registrar, Financial Aid, and Student Accounts. Must be able to learn and retain information for Admissions/Office of the Registrar, Financial Aid, and Student Accounts as well as various departments across campus that partner with the offices supported by the Communications Center. Adhere to all policies, procedures and call model standards when interacting with callers and business partners. Utilize resources, software and tools appropriately. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High School diploma. Three (3) years of customer service experience or the equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Two (2) years of general office or administrative experience. Higher education and/or contact center experience is a plus. Excellent communication skills and the ability to learn, retain and relay information in a clear in concise way. Bi-lingual applicants preferred. Experience/knowledge working with an integrated student information system such as PeopleSoft, (or learn within six (6) months of hire). Ability to use various office equipment, contact center software, softphone, headset, copier, and laser/fax/copier. Basic knowledge of various MS Office software products such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.
