Senior Application Consultant

The Application Consultant is responsible for providing high-quality consulting and training services to clients and maintains an in-depth knowledge of the functional and feature characteristics of Elite products. They use their professional services expertise in Legal Practice Management software (billing, financial management, third party interfaces, and reporting) to provide best practice recommendations and functional and strategic consulting services and advice.
About the role:
In this role as a Senior Application Consultant, you will:
Provide billable consulting services to clients (predominantly law firms) for the full suite of modules in the form of process and solution design, configuration, assistance with user acceptance testing, classroom training, Go-Live support, month-end closing, and balancing.
Lead the definition of functional requirements for assigned projects and work with Project Management and Technical Consultants to translate requirements into specific plans and tasks in line with the implementation methodology
Produce required project documentation (eg Functional Requirements Definition, Requirement Specifications, Training Strategy, Testing Strategy)
Actively pursue issue resolution and communicate project issues to stakeholders (eg other consulting team members, Support Desk, Project Manager, Client) to ensure that issues affecting projects are quickly and effectively resolved
Strong experience in General Ledger in a environment or a credible/strong understanding of accounting principles. Ability to be able to map and follow transactions from inception to posting into the General Ledger. Experience as Systems Accountant or similar would be advantageous
Work collaboratively across different departments and groups within a matrix organization
Deliver projects within scope according to budget and schedule
Maintain an up to date functional knowledge of the software
Work as part of a remote team and contribute to the learning and development of team members and participate in team and internal initiatives and projects
About You
You're a fit for the Senior Application Consultant if you have:
Bachelor's degree in business management, accounting, or equivalent experience
7 -15 years in legal or 7 -15 years in consulting Accounting background preferred
Ability to travel on a full-time basis
Experience with Legal practice management software system implementations preferred (Elite Enterprise, Elite 3E, or similar); Experience as a Functional Consultant implementing ERP systems (eg SAP, Oracle) also considered an advantage
Proven analytical and process design skills, including problem-solving, quantitative reasoning, workflow process
Outstanding organizational and time management skills and a willingness to be hands-on to ensure timely project completion with proficiency in prioritizing tasks and balancing workload to meet project objectives
Excellent verbal, presentation, and written skills with the ability to communicate intricate technical and procedural matters to both technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships across the organization
Proficiency in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio or similar tools (Power BI a plus)
