Sous Chef


This position will help execute all kitchen operations ensuring the restaurant and company standards of quality and service are met. Develop quality products through consistent execution and according to company standards of all menu items and line products. Maintain a safe and clean kitchen area.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
 Perform all position responsibilities and performance objectives in a timely and
effective manner in accordance with established company policies and
procedures.
 Prepare all menu items according to recipe requirements and adhere to product
sensitivity and plate presentation guidelines.
 Assist the Executive Chef in maintaining kitchen equipment by performing routine
checks according to established policies and procedures.
 Ensure proper rotation of all products and stocks products to determined pars.
Label & date all perishable items to ensure freshness standards are met.
 Obtain working knowledge of all equipment in the kitchen, including pilot lighting
of all gas fired equipment, filter changing of all refrigeration systems & vent hood
system operations.
 Work with the General Manager and Executive Chef to investigate and resolve
any food quality and service complaints received
 Communicate ticket times and potential problems with service/kitchen staff and
managers. Determine quick corrections to ensure constant food flow.
 Communicate well with and help out fellow team members in any way necessary
 Perform other duties and responsibilities as required or requested.
 Assist in vender relationships and ordering process

Experience and Skills:
 Minimum of 3 years of operations experience
 Ability to multitask and adjust to changing priorities
 Ability to work varied shifts
 Attention to detail
 Open availability including nights, weekends, and holidays

Education and Certification:
 Associate degree or higher in related field or trade education is preferred

 Servsafe Manager food certification required


Physical Demands:
 Must be able to lift 50lbs to shoulder height and push or pull 160lbs
 Must be able to work on your feet for 10 hours
 Must be able to crouch, bend, lift and reach
 Must be able to work in hot, wet, and loud environment
