American Power Systems seeks a dynamic Inside Sales Representative to join our team. The Inside Sales Representative will be pivotal in growing sales by maintaining existing customer relationships, generating new business opportunities, and supporting our outside sales team. This role will involve promoting and selling a range of products and services from our portfolio, including batteries, DC power, chargers, and more.

Responsibilities Include:

• Promote and sell company products and services, prepare quotes, and present them to customers. With a focus on selling preventive maintenance (PMs), as well as coordinate with service managers to schedule work.
• Work closely with American Power Systems partners for support. (Mitsubishi, Toshiba, Eaton, Vertiv, etc.
• Evaluate PM reports and other technical documents.
• Reviewing customer specifications and requirements to create tailored solutions.
• Establishing new business and maintaining existing accounts, which will include cold calling, and answering inquiries.
• Maintain existing data and records and continue to build on.
• Building productive relationships with key personnel at prospective and existing customers.
• Conducting market research to identify new potential customers and market opportunities.
• Collaborating with various departments to ensure customer expectations are met consistently.
• Maintaining open and positive communication with employees, departments, customers, and vendors.

Minimum Requirements:

• Familiarity with electrical concepts, practices, and procedures.
• Understanding of lead-acid batteries and reserve power industry knowledge.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents and drawings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and proficiency in English.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong PC skills, including Office applications.
• Acceptable driving record under company and customer requirements.

Essential Qualities:

• Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment.
• Willingness to travel occasionally between offices, service locations, and customer sites.
