Intermediate Java Developer
Location: Columbus, OH (Onsite Hybrid Schedule)
Pay - 45-55/hr W2 contract role
Role Overview
We are seeking a Java Spring Boot Developer with API development and SQL expertise. This role focuses on building scalable, high-performance enterprise APIs and supporting production systems for reliability and performance. This position requires 4 days onsite.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
  • Design and implement scalable API services and microservices.
  • Build and support API integrations across multiple systems and applications.
  • Write efficient SQL queries, perform query optimization, and support database design.
  • Work closely with architects on API design, data modeling, and backend solutions.
  • Participate in CI/CD pipelines and follow DevOps best practices.
  • Develop unit tests and support automated testing.
  • Provide production support, including issue resolution and monitoring.
  • Maintain and enhance existing Java applications and APIs.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field.
Experience: 1-3+ years of Java development experience with Spring Boot and strong experience in REST API / Microservices development.
Technical Skills: Strong expertise in SQL (query optimization, data modeling, performance tuning), experience with relational databases (RDBMS), and familiarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
