2nd Shift NDT Inspector (Level 2)

Sunvair, Inc. is an FAA 145 Repair Station specializing in landing gear and hydraulic component overhaul for both commercial and military applications. Currently we are seeking a 2nd Shift Inspector to add to our capabilities and performance of our NDT Department. Candidate to be Level 2 certified in the methods of Magnetic Particle and Fluorescent Penetrant Inspection.

Primary Responsibilities:Reports directly to the NDT Lead

• Working in conjunction with 1st Shift NDT Department personnel
• Responsible for the daily set up, and use of NDT equipment
• Conduct, interpret, evaluate and document results of inspections performed
• Perform duties in accordance with approved tech sheets
• Perform MPI and FPI inspection of landing gear and hydraulic components in accordance with FAA,industry, NADCAP, customer and regulatory requirements
• Responsible for cleaning parts utilizing pre‐post wash stations.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements:

• Must be detail oriented
• Strong safety orientation
• Microsoft Office (word, excel, outlook) proficient
• Capable of moving unaided throughout the facility and lifting at least 50 lb.
• Must be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the method in which certified
• Minimum of 2-3 years practical experience preferred for both MPI and FPI
• Sufficient eye sight
• Must be able to operate measuring tools and NDT equipment.
• Ability to read and understand tech sheets
• Must be able to work with production control and other inspectors
• Must be able to identify different plated surfaces
