Job description

Job Summary:

They are seeking a highly skilled System Administrator to manage and support IT infrastructure, ensuring system stability, performance, and security while leading infrastructure improvements and mentoring junior team members.
Responsibilities:
• Manage, monitor, and maintain on-premises and cloud-based infrastructure (e.g., Windows servers, Hyper-V, AWS/Azure).
• Administer and optimize Citrix environments (Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix Cloud, ADC, StoreFront) to ensure reliable end-user access and performance.
• Support and manage Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, and security/compliance tools.
• Lead and execute IT integrations during acquisitions and migrations, including user/workstation/domain onboarding, data consolidation, and system harmonization.
• Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and other core infrastructure services.
• Maintain system availability, performance, and scalability through proactive monitoring and tuning.
• Implement and maintain security best practices including patch management, access controls, and compliance.
• Design, implement, and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Collaborate with network, security, and application teams to support enterprise initiatives and resolve complex issues.
• Automate routine tasks using scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Create and maintain system documentation, runbooks, SOPs, and architectural diagrams.
• Support audits (e.g., SOX, SOC2, ISO) by providing documentation and ensuring infrastructure compliance.
• Provide mentorship and technical leadership to administrators and IT support staff.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 5–7+ years of experience as a System Administrator or in a similar infrastructure role.
• Deep knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and compliance tools.
• Demonstrated experience in acquisition/merger IT migrations, including identity, email, and file system integrations.
• Strong experience with Windows Server environments and Active Directory architecture.
• Expertise in Citrix technologies (Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix Cloud, Netscaler/ADC).
• Proficiency with virtualization platforms.
• Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, firewalls).
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS), including hybrid configurations.
• Familiarity with enterprise backup and disaster recovery solutions.
• Scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Bash, or Python).
• Strong documentation, project coordination, and communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, M365 Enterprise Admin Expert, and Citrix Certified Associate.
Preferred:
• Experience with endpoint management tools (Intune, Jamf).
• Familiarity with compliance and governance (SOX, ISO27001, SOC2, NIST, etc.).
• Exposure to infrastructure automation tools.
