Atrium Cafe Worker - York Hospital / Mon - Fri 11am - 3pm w/ 2 Holidays & Weekends as needed

**This Position can be combined with a Part Time Atrium Cafe Cook to work Full Time Hours Monday - Friday 7am - 3pm with 2 Holidays per year and Weekends as needed** Part Time (40 hours biweekly) Monday - Friday 11am -3pm with 2 Holidays required per year and Weekends as needed Starting rate of $15.00/hr http://www.joinwellspan.org/Benefits Job Description: Under the direct supervision of the Café Services Team Leader, provides food and beverage services to visitors, patients and their family members, and employees. Prepares and serves hot beverages and sandwiches. Maintains adequate stock of food, beverages and condiments.

Inventories stock and prepares orders for restocking of supplies. Performs cashier duties involving collecting funds, issuing receipts and daily balancing of cash drawer. Interacts with the public in a cheerful, courteous, customer-oriented and helpful manner. Duties and Responsibilities + Prepares sandwiches, subs, wraps, salads and specialty items as directed. + Prepares, sets up and tears down Coffee Bar, and Frozen Dessert Machine. + Greets all customers promptly and courteously. + Receives payment for food and drinks from visitors and staff. + Balances the cash drawer on a daily basis. + Keeps the cafe well-stocked and clean. + Orders supplies, maintaining an adequate inventory. + Follows health, safety and sanitation guidelines. + Alerts supervisor to problems and needs concerning equipment and food supplies.

Detects and reports spoiled or unattractive food, defective supplies/equipment or other unusual conditions. Qualifications + Minimum Experience: + 1 - 3 months + Minimum Education: + Ability to read, write, understand and speak English at a level which enables the individual to satisfactorily perform the functions of the job. + Physical Demands: + Moderate physical effort (lift/carry 11 to 25 lbs) + Prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing/walking + Lifts supplies/equipment + Considerable reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching + Skills: + Excellent interpersonal/communications skills; Customer service skills Federal law requires employers to provide reasonable accommodation to qualified individuals with disabilities.
