PRIMARY PURPOSE: /Blood Bank/Denver, CO/ ** $20.93 - $25.04 DOEQ**/Paid Trng

Responsible for the Mobiles and Community Donor Centers Operations quality control for equipment tracking and maintenance, and annual equipment calibration. Responsible for maintaining accurate records related to equipment maintenance and annual calibrations as needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Performs all assigned duties in compliance with internal SOPs and external regulations. Brings compliance issues to the attention of management.
  • Assures quality customer service to all customers.
  • Maintains good attendance and punctuality per the absence policy.
  • Performs scheduled quality control (QC) on all required donor services equipment, reagents and labels in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Performs validation procedures on newly acquired donor services equipment, and assists with the development of corresponding Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Reviews and maintains accurate and organized QC records on all required donor services equipment.
  • Keeps accurate spreadsheets of all equipment in donor services, and notifies management when cleanings/calibrations are due.
  • Repairs donor services equipment as required. Orders replacement parts as needed. Maintains accurate inventory of equipment parts. Maintains accurate servicing instructions in addition to service manuals, as needed. Maintains documentation of repair and returns repaired equipment back to operations in a timely manner.
  • Provides quality customer service to internal and external customers.
  • Contributes to team effort related to organizational goals by accomplishing related goals as needed.
  • Other duties may be assigned.


REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge/Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required .
  • A two or four year technical degree is preferred .
Licenses/ Certifications

None.

Experience
  • Three years of relevant work experience is required .
  • Three years equipment validation and maintenance experience preferred .
  • Training skills with experience preferred .
Skills/Abilities
  • Must possess the skills and abilities to successfully perform all assigned duties and responsibilities.
  • Must be able to maintain confidentiality.

  • Ability to problem-solve.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Create and maintain a safe and effective work environment.
  • Equipment testing, calibration, maintenance and process improvement.
  • Language skills must include the ability to read, write, speak English effectively and follow oral and written instructions consistent with policies and procedure, SOPs or other requirements.
  • Must be able to interpret information, instructor explain.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and have the skills necessary to provide excellent services to internal and external customers.
