Waiter/Waitress Job Description:

Tujague's restaurant is looking for servers, with strong time management and people skills, who want to be part of a dynamic restaurant team and an historic New Orleans dining institution.

The right person for our team should be able to multitask, providing excellent service and team support.

The responsibilities of a waiter/waitress in our restaurant are to greet guests, assist in menu, cocktail, and wine list recommendations, take orders, mark, clear, maintain, and reset tables. All of our servers are also responsible for ringing orders and handling cash and credit card transactions.

A suitable candidate should be a problem-solver and a team player.

Responsibilities of a Waiter/Waitress:

• Greeting and welcoming guests.
• Providing menu recommendations and information.
• Checking ID's to prevent minors from ordering alcoholic beverages.
• Taking and properly entering orders into our P.O.S. system.
• Communicating with fellow servers, management, and kitchen staff.
• Delivering food and beverages in a timely fashion.
• Delivering checks and collecting payments.
• Setting, detailing, and maintaining the appearance and cleanliness of their stations.
• Providing exceptional customer experience.

Waiter/Waitress Job Requirements:

• Must have prior experience as a waiter/waitress.
• Must possess strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Must be able to handle money transactions responsibly.
• Must be able to multitask.
• Must be available to work weekends and holidays.
