Job description

POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting directly to the Beverage Manager, the Beverage Supervisor oversees beverage service on the casino floor during assigned shifts. This role ensures that all Beverage Team Members meet individual, and department goals, enforce responsible alcohol sales and service, and handles intoxicated guests appropriately. The Beverage Supervisor also monitors staffing levels across all beverage areas and maintains proper inventory. All responsibilities must be performed in accordance with company standards, policies, and procedures.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Responsible for redefining hospitality at Graton Resort & Casino while living, supporting, and
promoting our values.
2. Execute all Beverage Department responsibilities by enforcing policies and procedures fairly among all Team Members and in accordance with Company's negotiated union contract.
3. Understand and follow all policies and procedures as directed by management,
suggesting, and initiating necessary changes and improvements.
4. Oversee the daily activities of assigned area ensuring smooth operations and high-quality
service.
5. Assist with training Beverage Team Members including Bartenders, Servers and Porters.
6. Actively circulate through all bars and assigned areas of responsibility to ensure Team Members are providing cordial and timely service to our guests.
7. Assists managers in building daily schedules to manage labor for casino floor, all bars, and
event bars. This includes conducting business early outs, logging call outs, completing shift
checkouts & inspection checklists as well as any other task assigned.
8. Conduct Team Member observations to ensure high levels of service.
9. Perform Point of Sale transactions such as voids and other operations as necessary.
10. Respond and solve all beverage related guest opportunities in a timely and efficient manner.
11. Perform monthly inventory and submit reports to Beverage manager.
12. Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. One (1) year food and beverage supervisory experience preferred.
2. High School Diploma or equivalent.
3. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members, and Management in both written
and verbal form.
4. Ability to handle a flexible schedule to work weekends, holidays, and all shifts.
5. Ability to delegate, empower, and evaluate hourly Team Members to achieve desired objectives
with minimal supervision.
6. Sound judgement in all decision-making ability, even when dealing with difficult situations, where Guests, Team Members, and the overall long-One (1) term profitability are not adversely impacted.
7. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and make quick judgement decisions.
8. Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Knowledge of alcoholic beverages and relevant regulations is essential.
9. Must be at least 21 years of age.
10. Must be able to obtain a Gaming License through the Graton Gaming Commission.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Ability to climb, bend, reach, walk, and stand for the duration of the shift.
2. Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment.
WORK CONDITIONS:
Work is typically in an area which may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, and may contain secondhand smoke. Work may be performed in small areas with a 3 ft. wide access. Tasks performed from a sitting or non- sitting position. Performance of job duties will require standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling and grasping. These tasks include the maintenance and care of assigned area. Work may entail trained chemical usage. Constant contact with fellow Team Members and Guests
