ESS Defence delivers exceptional hospitality and catering services to Defence sites across Australia. Our teams play a vital role in supporting Australian Defence Force personnel by providing quality dining experiences and outstanding service every day.

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Food & Beverage Supervisor to join our team at Kokoda Barracks, Canungra. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for a hospitality professional who enjoys supervising teams, delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining high operational standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervise and support hospitality teams across daily dining operations
Lead by example to deliver exceptional customer service
Coordinate meal services and support function and event delivery
Maintain food safety, hygiene and HACCP compliance standards
Assist with staff training, coaching and performance development
Ensure presentation, cleanliness and service standards are consistently achieved
Support operational requirements and daily venue activities

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Previous experience in a Food & Beverage Supervisor, Team Leader or similar hospitality role
Strong leadership and communication skills
Experience supervising and developing hospitality teams
Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and HACCP requirements
Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
Positive, proactive and customer-focused approach
Ability to obtain and maintain a National Police Check and Defence clearance

ROSTER & HOURS

Full-time position
Flexible roster supporting work-life balance
Must be available to work some evening shifts
Availability for one weekend shift per week is required
Most shifts finish by 8:00pm
