Job description

Pay Rate: $27.50 an hour
SUMMARY: Directs pit operations including control of secured assets and game integrity and protection. Responsible for a high level of guest service as described in your departments guest service standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Schedule pit assignments, train, coach, and evaluate staff and conduct performance reviews
  • Direct daily work activities ensuring conformance to standards, policies and procedures
  • Promote positive team member and guest relations
  • Assess table games activity and guest evaluations and communicate with surveillance
  • Monitor equipment to assure tables are in good repair and gaming devices meet standards
  • Responsible for money transactions on assigned games
  • Operate the table games data application
  • Ensure that comp guidelines are followed
  • Complete pit counts and reports
  • Process jackpots and complete required IRS forms
  • Assist Table Games trainer with dealer school training, departmental training or other trainings when needed

KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge and Certification
Required:
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
  • 1- year table games, or similar, supervisory experience preferably with knowledge of Treasure Island's policies and procedures

Preferred:
  • Understanding of Table Games Yield management
  • Knowledge in advantage play recognition such as basic strategy and card counting systems

Skills
Required:
  • Accurate and detail-oriented
  • Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Strong computer skills Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook) and Windows XP
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

  • Strong conflict resolution skills

  • Ability to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygiene
  • Ability to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous manner

REQUIRED TRAINING
  • Treasure Island guest service training
  • TIPS training and certification
  • Effectively Handling Harassment training
  • Title 31 training and certification
  • Must be certified as a Table Games Supervisor in accordance with the Tribal compact
  • Counterfeit Identification, Basic Strategy & Count Systems, State Indian Gaming Compact, Table Games Data Application training
  • Any position-related training as determined by department manager

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time with infrequent amounts of walking and sitting
  • Must have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend and kneel
  • Must be able to reach and twist routinely
  • Must be able to push, pull and grasp objects routinely
  • Must have the ability to independently lift up to 10 pounds occasionally

WORKING ENVIRONMENT
  • Work is performed on the gaming floor, which includes flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smoke
  • Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidays
  • Occasionally must deal with angry or hostile individuals
  • High volume direct public contact
