Milner’s Supervisor
Overview: The Milner’s Supervisor is responsible for implementing and maintaining the services, procedures, team dynamics that drive overall member satisfaction in the Club’s casual restaurant, Milner’s. This person supports the Milner’s service team with preparation and execution of service. The Milner’s Supervisor is a member of the Clubhouse Leadership team and is expected to lead by example in all areas. He/she will assist in all areas as assigned, energizing the “The answer is yes, now what is the question?” philosophy, and maintaining the high standards of service and behavior of the Country Club of Birmingham.
Reports to: Restaurant Manager
Duties:
- To develop and implement strategies for food and beverage operations that are aligned with the Country Club of Birmingham’s overall philosophy.
- Assists Restaurant Manager with scheduling of personnel and oversees Milner’s staffing based upon anticipated member/guest needs. This includes service staff and bartenders.
- Assumes MOD/Closing Manager duties when assigned to do so by Restaurant Manager
- Create an exceptional experience for guests.
- Resolves member/ guest complaints and reports them to the Restaurant Manager
- Carefully supervises Milner’s staff (including Milner’s Bartenders) to help ensure proper service.
- Helps select, train, supervise and evaluate service staff
- Assists in Milner’s monthly inventory assessments
- Provides nightly captain reports, when serving as MOD.
- Serves as liaison between Milner’s staff and kitchen.
- Assures that all side work is accomplished and that all cleaning of equipment and storage areas is completed.
- Conducts/directs pre-shift meetings with Milner’s personnel. Relays any information and policy changes and briefs personnel on details pertaining to the evening.
- Assures the correct appearance, cleanliness and safety of Milner’s equipment, and fixtures.
- Maintains an inventory of items including silverware, condiment baskets, salt and pepper holders, and pizza stands and ensure that they are properly stored and accounted for.
- Create an environment for employees that are aligned with the company culture through constant communication and reinforcement.
- Any other duties assigned by the Restaurant Manager.
