Café Associate - Seasonal - Part-Time

The Café Associate is responsible for assisting with the preparation of food and beverages, ensuring hygiene levels are maintained to a suitable standard and maintaining exceptional levels of customer service by providing guests helpful, positive service.

JOB SUMMARY

Assist guest in food selections and provide information on their menu selections while accurately and efficiently processing all register transactions, build display cases with daily products, rotate counter displays, maintain proper tracking of deli case items while practicing FIFO procedures, ensure daily operations are complete by completing daily prep lists and updating inventory sheets for products as needed, maintain detailed knowledge of menu items including ingredients, preparation, and pronunciation, resolve issues by communicating concerns to management team, keep café prepared for service by stocking, organizing, and cleaning all Café areas during shift.

Requirements

EXPECTATIONS

High School diploma or equivalent experience

Previous food and/or sales/service experience preferred

Strong verbal communication skills

Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, on occasion, stand several hours a day and climb ladders, bend, reach, squat, kneel, twist, push and pull and perform repetitive motion

Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekend and on holidays on a regular basis

May be required to work in excess of 40 hours per week periodically as business requires
