Pay: $60000 - $75000 / year

Summary of position:

Restaurant Managers are primarily responsible for supporting the General Manager with ensuring that front-of-house operations and team members perform according to established operational, compliance, safety, cleaning and sanitation standards. They are required to manage daily restaurant and beachfront operations, and support effective execution of service, by personally carrying out a variety of managerial and administrative functions. Restaurant Managers exemplify the company's values, safety and sanitation standards, codes of conduct and work rules. They are highly knowledgeable of all company safety and sanitation policies, procedures, and protocols, skilled at using restaurant systems, flexible in responding to operational needs with a "can-do" approach, and maintain the highest level of professionalism.

Essential Job Duties:

  • Oversees the dining areas and the supervision of all Front of the House service staff in accordance with operating policies.
  • Manages and performs all work activities required to maintain the efficient and effective operation of the restaurant and kitchen, including but not limited to FOH, BOH and special event activities, bar management, forecasting, scheduling, accounting, cash management, payroll, compliance, etc., in accordance with established policies, procedures and guidelines.
  • Monitors compliance with safety and sanitation, codes of conduct, work rules, etc., and works with management and human resources to implement appropriate and timely corrective action when necessary
  • Sources, interviews and hires service staff, and oversees training of all new hires, as well as re-training and compliance of current team members
  • Interfaces with guests to diffuse and resolve any issues with a proactive approach
  • Promotes effective employee engagement strategies to instill team support of organizational values, priorities and objectives.
  • Assists management with reviewing financial transactions and monitoring the budget to ensure that expenditures stay within budget limitations.
  • Post enticing, high-quality images and taglines on social media in an effort to actively and consistently maintain positive brand awareness
  • Ensures a 5-star experience for all guests and team members alike

Experience

  • 3 years of experience supervising employees in FOH operations in a fast-paced restaurant environment
  • College degree a plus

  • Demonstrated skill in the application of point of sale and other information systems to effectively and correctly execute various transactions
  • Strong time management and organization skills
  • Ability to pay attention to details
  • Working knowledge of financial and budgeting principles
  • Working knowledge of information technology and social media platforms
