Description :
Infrastructure Systems Analyst (Mid-Level, Migration Focus)
Overview
We are seeking a mid-level Infrastructure Systems Analyst to support technology migrations within a high-performance trading environment. This role is hands-on, with a focus on server builds, platform migrations, troubleshooting, and operational support. The ideal candidate is adaptable, detail-oriented, and capable of solving problems under pressure while working across global teams.
Key Responsibilities

  • Support infrastructure migrations (server/VDI refreshes, storage moves, data/app migrations) through build, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Review technical requirements, define hardware/software needs, and assist with migration planning.
  • Provide root cause analysis (RCA) and escalate issues when needed to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate successful migration outcomes.
  • Develop and refine runbooks, processes, and automation scripts (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
  • Ensure systems comply with operational and regulatory standards.
  • Participate in after-hours or weekend work as required for cutovers and migrations.
Required Skills & Experience
  • 4-6 years of experience in infrastructure/system support with exposure to migration or upgrade projects.
  • Hands-on experience with Windows, Linux (RHEL 7/8), and virtualization platforms (VMware, OpenShift).
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory, DNS, FTP, clustering (e.g., Veritas), and backup solutions (e.g., NetBackup).
  • Familiarity with x86 server hardware (Dell/Client/Lenovo) and network troubleshooting tools.
  • Ability to create and use automation scripts (PowerShell, Bash, Python, or similar).
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting mindset, with attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills, able to clearly explain findings and issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Nice to Have
  • Exposure to tools such as Ansible, Splunk, CrowdStrike, or SCCM.
  • Familiarity with trading or high-frequency/low-latency environments.
  • Experience contributing to backup/recovery planning and process improvements
