Job description

Responsibilities
Sentinel is seeking an IT Manager for one of its local customers. The IT Manager is responsible for managing and securing the organization's network, risk management systems, and enterprise information. This role evaluates IT system performance to optimize operating costs and productivity while identifying and recommending system upgrades. The IT Manager builds and maintains strong relationships with external vendors and service providers, monitors infrastructure performance, and ensures the organization is prepared for IT security audits and investigations. This is a Direct Hire opportunity for an onsite role in Chicago, IL.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 10 years of IT management experience overseeing infrastructure, security, systems, and technical operations.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems (MIS), Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Relevant industry certifications strongly preferred (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Security+, CISSP, PMP, Microsoft certifications).
  • Proven experience managing enterprise systems such as Microsoft Entra ID, Intune & Autopilot, ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics/Navision), HRIS/Payroll systems (e.g., Paychex), and Quality Management Systems.
  • Demonstrated experience leading IT projects, system upgrades, migrations, and cross-functional technology initiatives.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships, contract negotiations, and IT budgeting.
  • Hands-on experience with network security, cybersecurity monitoring, and risk management frameworks.
  • Experience providing senior-level escalation support and managing 24/7 operational expectations.
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship

Compensation Range:
IT Manager - $85,000-$110,000
