Join a team where disruption is driven by purpose. You'll develop the applications and tools that support our crew and millions of investors worldwide, while building your ability to collaborate, influence, and lead through hands-on experience. Through technical capstones, hackathons, and solution-oriented projects, you'll strengthen both your technical expertise and leadership capabilities.

The Technology Leadership Program is a two-year rotational development experience designed for graduating students ready to begin their careers in technology. Participants complete three eight-month rotations across different IT teams, gaining exposure to diverse technologies, business areas, and challenges while building the skills needed to grow as future technology leaders at Vanguard.

In this program, you will:

  • Develop scalable solutions using modern technologies, including cloud, APIs, and full-stack development
  • Take ownership of projects and contribute to delivering high-impact outcomes for the business

  • Apply Agile methodologies to deliver solutions in a fast-paced, iterative environment
  • Participate in technical capstones, hackathons, and innovation-focused initiatives
  • Build relationships with peers, mentors, and leaders across Vanguard
  • Meet regularly with your department manager and program manager to receive personalized coaching and mentorship

  • Strong interest in application development, including web, mobile, or backend systems
  • Familiarity with one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript)
  • Experience with coding languages preferred
