About This Role
We are supporting a rapidly expanding organization seeking an experienced Sales & Use Tax Consultant / Tax Specialist to provide hands-on, onsite support for a lean and growing tax department. This role will focus heavily on indirect tax, particularly sales & use tax and personal property tax, with additional year-end and compliance responsibilities. Great company and culture!
  • Project estimated 8-10 months
  • Pay range - $55-$65/hour plus benefits

What You Will Work On
  • Prepare and support sales & use tax filings across multiple jurisdictions
  • Assist with personal property tax compliance
  • Manage 1099 filings and year-end reporting
  • Support ongoing indirect tax compliance and process improvements
  • Collaborate closely with a small, highly efficient tax team (approximately 5 total team members)

What You Will Bring
  • 3-5+ years of experience in sales & use tax, with exposure to personal property tax
  • Strong indirect tax specialization preferred over a generalist background
  • Experience working in fast-growing or lean tax environments
  • Comfortable working onsite 5 days per week
  • Experience with OneSource and/or Oracle strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with Avalara and Power Query is a plus
  • Prior experience with these systems is not required, but highly advantageous
