Workplace Ergonomics and Rehab Medical Assistant

Position located in Butler, IN and eligible for sign-on bonus!

Summary:

+ Responsible for clerical and clinical functions related to Workplace Ergonomics and Rehabilitation as assigned.

+ Greets clients/patients in person and by telephone with care, courtesy, and respect.

+ Triages clients/patients and reports medical problems to the onsite RN team.

+ Provides OSHA first aid and/or wellness as indicated based on assessment and/or the direction of the onsite team.

+ Assists the safety team of the corporate client with tasks to mitigate the risk of injury and promote a safe and healthy workplace.

Qualifications:

+ High school diploma required.

+ Must have completed at least one year of education as a medical assistant, phlebotomist, emergency medical technician, pharmacy technician, or have equivalent work experience . Prefer Associate Degree in Applied Science in Medical or a related field.

+ Must be certified in CPR or must become certified within the first 90 days of employment. Medical Assistant certification preferred. If assigned to drive a company vehicle, a valid driver's license is required. If assigned to drive a personal vehicle, proof of insurance is required in addition to a valid driver's license.

+ Must have completed externship or equivalent training in a medical office or hospital setting.

+ Prefer candidates with a minimum of one year of experience in medical assisting, emergency medical technician, or related experience.

+ Must have solid verbal and written communication skills.

+ Knowledge of clinical and clerical operations, service excellence, clinical quality initiatives preferred. Must be familiar with computers, electronic medical record experience preferred.

+ Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

+ Must be willing to work at other locations as assigned.
