Job description
Perform requirements analysis, concept development, and design trade studies
Develop design documentation including Technical Data Packages (TDPs)
Apply GD&T principles to mechanical designs
Conduct engineering analysis (DFMA, PFMA, margin analysis)
Support validation, testing, and qualification processes
Prepare technical reports and present findings in design reviews
Support procurement, supplier interaction, and production processes
Collaborate across engineering teams to solve technical challenges
Qualifications You Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in STEM field (Mechanical Engineering or related)
5+ years of mechanical design and documentation experience (or 3+ with advanced degree)
Experience solving technical problems of moderate complexity
Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance (U.S. citizenship required) Qualifications We Prefer Advanced engineering degree
Experience leading small teams (4–6 engineers)
Experience with supplier management and external partners
Experience with mechanical subsystems (packaging, thermal, structural, etc.)
Strong understanding of GD&T (ANSI Y14.5)
Experience with CREO (Pro/E) or similar 3D CAD tools
Experience with PTC Windchill or similar PLM tools
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Active DoD security clearance
Ability to travel to government and supplier sites Additional Details
Work Schedule: Standard daytime hours
Environment: Onsite, engineering and production support
Travel: Occasional travel to government and supplier facilities
