Job description

We are seeking Tax Preparers to join a specialty wealth and tax advisory firm. This position is responsible for delivering accurate and timely tax compliance services for high-wealth individuals and small business clients. Based onsite in Flowood, MS, the role includes preparation of federal and state returns, maintenance of client records, and direct communication with clients regarding their filings.


Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, LLCs, and S Corporations.
  • Review financial records, documentation, and expenditures to ensure accurate reporting.
  • Receive and respond to client calls regarding tax questions and scheduling of preparation appointments.
  • Communicate with clients regarding the tax preparation process and filing requirements.
  • Answer tax-related questions and provide clear explanations of filing procedures.
  • Assist clients with payment arrangements and refund processing as needed.
  • Prepare extensions, quarterly estimates, and amended returns.
  • Coordinate with senior staff and tax attorneys on complex compliance matters.
  • Ensure strict confidentiality and accuracy in handling all client information.


Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting.
  • CPA preferred.
  • 1-5 years of experience in tax preparation.
  • Experience with tax preparation software preferred.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to pass background check.


Compensation

  • $60,000–$70,000, depending on experience.
  • Part-time/most-time also available.
