James Moore & Co., P.L.’s HR Solutions team is currently partnering with Bob’s Space Racers in the search for a motivated and hands-on Junior Mechanical Engineer. This full-time opportunity is ideal for an early-career engineering professional who is eager to learn, grow, and contribute to the development of innovative amusement products in a collaborative manufacturing environment.

What You’ll Do

The Junior Mechanical Engineer supports the engineering department in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of mechanical systems and products used in the company’s amusement games. Working alongside senior engineering staff, this role assists with product improvement initiatives, technical documentation, troubleshooting, prototype development, and day-to-day engineering support activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of mechanical components and systems
  • Support product testing, evaluation, and validation activities
  • Prepare and maintain engineering drawings, bills of materials, and technical documentation
  • Assist with troubleshooting and resolving technical issues
  • Support manufacturing and production teams with engineering-related tasks
  • Participate in prototype assembly, fabrication, and testing
  • Conduct research and data analysis for engineering projects
  • Maintain project records, reports, and technical files
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments and team members
  • Learn and apply company engineering standards and procedures
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assist in converting prototype and standard game designs into assembly drawings and build-of-material documentation
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of mechanical design principles and manufacturing processes
  • Familiarity with SolidWorks and related engineering design tools
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Willingness to learn, grow, and develop professionally in a hands-on environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Internship, co-op, or entry-level experience in engineering or manufacturing environments
  • Exposure to engineering documentation and testing procedures
  • Experience working in team-oriented technical environments
  • Interest in product development and manufacturing operations

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in both office and manufacturing environments
  • Ability to occasionally lift materials or equipment up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and inspect production areas as needed
  • Physical presence on-site in Holly Hill, Florida is required
  • Occasional travel may be required depending on project needs
