Job description

An Entry-Level Mechanical Engineer job in Lynn, MA is currently available at Belcan. This is a full-time, direct opportunity with benefits. To be considered for this role, you will need to have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
Entry-Level Mechanical Design Engineer Job Duties:
* Participate in the entire design cycle of mechanical subsystems, including conceptual and detailed design, trade studies, development testing and qualification
* Perform engineering calculations to validate component and system design (free body diagrams, structural analysis, vibration analysis, flow analysis, and heat transfer analysis)
* Review manufacturing drawings to ensure form, fit and function
* Perform tolerance stacks analysis in accordance with ASME Y14.5 2009
* Work within a team environment to achieve the desired project goals and ensure the project tasks are completed on time, on budget, and with technical excellence
* Create documentation for assembly and testing of development and flight hardware
Qualifications:
* Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering or similar
* Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (Green Card holder)
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience designing Aerospace or equivalent types of mechanical systems within aircraft, spacecraft, or launch vehicles
* Experience designing gas turbine engine components (fan, compressor, combustor, turbine, rotors, stators, etc.)
* Experience with repairs or Material Review Board (MRB)
* Experience designing rigs or test stands
* Experience designing airfoils and/or rotating parts
* Experience designing bearing, seals, and drives
* Experience designing sumps and lube systems
* Experience with ASME Y14.5 2009
* Working knowledge of design cycle, conception to production, for components or systems
* Experience in structural FEA using ANSYS, NASTRAN, or similar tools
* Proficient in 3D CAD, utilizing Siemens NX
Compensation:
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $70,720 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline.
