JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title: F&B Kitchen Lead

Reports To: F&B Operations Manager

Department: Food & Beverage

Classification: F/T Seasonal

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

GENERAL PURPOSE:

Supervises the preparation, cooking and serving of safe food. Also oversees the opening of the operation in the morning and the cash register operation for food during the day. Provides high quality food for an upscale dining experience.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Responsible for opening the entire operation in the morning
  • Prepares breakfast and decides on amount of food to be prepared for that day's business
  • Decides on daily special
  • Coordinates with other lead cooks to place food orders
  • Supervises the other cooks, cashiers, bussers and waiters/waitresses


OTHER FUNCTIONS:
  • Keeps restaurants or facilities stocked with food
  • Assists F&B operations manager with phasing in new ideas and menu enhancement
  • Insures restaurants/facilities are kept clean and organized

SUPERVISORY DUTIES:
  • Responsible for opening the safe and filling the registers for the days business
  • Oversees the opening of the restaurants and facilities

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITY:
  • Cash register operation
  • Knowledge of safe food preparation, handling and service
  • Per WY law, must be 21 years old to serve alcohol
  • Must be detail oriented, neat and organized with good communication skills


EDUCATION OR FORMAL TRAINING:
  • High School diploma or equivalent


EXPERIENCE:
  • Two years in food preparation
  • At least 1 year supervisory experience preferred
  • Handling of money and deposit forms


MATERIAL AND EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:
  • Computer
  • Cash register
  • Basic kitchen equipment


WORKING ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
  • Kitchen area
  • Heavy lifting
