Il Fornaio Cucina Italiana, with several very successful restaurants in the Silicon Valley is hiring experienced Chefs to join our great team.
Strong kitchen and dining room experience with great attention to details our food, recipes and execution of a quality guest and employee experience is required.
Prior experience as Sous chef, executive chef, chef de cuisine, kitchen director, BOH Director is critical to success at this job.
Responsibilities include:
* . Food preparation and service for all meal periods
* . Recipe adherence and daily specials creation with an emphasis on Italian cuisine
* . Training and supervising kitchen staff
* . Adhering to food and facility safety requirements
* . Ensuring that quality and cost standards are consistently obtained
* . Completing kitchen administrative and human resource duties
* . Inventory, ordering, scheduling with cost control
Sous Chef should have a positive attitude and be able to communicate clearly, professionally, concisely and respectfully. Experience in a full service fine dining upscale restaurant is required.
Conversational Spanish is helpful. Must have a flexible schedule and able to work varied shifts including weekends.
