Position Summary
Duke Energy's Talent Acquisition team has an exciting opportunity for highly motivated Sourcing & Campus Recruiting Manager. The mission of our Sourcing and Campus team is to attract top talent to Duke Energy and build a workforce that reflects the communities we serve. We do this by establishing and maintaining relationships with community programs, College/Universities, technical schools, military and diversity organizations to build talent pipelines for current and future workforce needs.
The Talent Acquisition Manager should have experience and success with positively impacting diversity hiring efforts. Establishing, implementing and reporting on diversity sourcing strategies, prospective talent pipelines, and team leadership are fundamental expectations of the role.
The ideal TA Manager will have strong relationship management, consulting, and influencing skills with the ability to build & maintain long-term relationships with internal hiring managers and senior leaders. This individual will be responsible for influencing a positive and efficient candidate experience by managing a team of Campus Recruiters and Sourcing Specialists. They will partner with various support services to coordinate TA processes and make recommendations for transformation in the function. The role requires a sense of urgency, passion for driving results with the highest degree of integrity, and personal accountability for achievement. It will be critical for this individual to stay current with industry trends, developments and changes especially related to a high-level talent pool.
Additional job duties and responsibilities include:
Set direction andsupervise a staff of entry to senior-level professionals in the strategy, implementation, and delivery of sourcing processes, as well as college campus recruiting
Employment branding strategies and consultation to assigned customers and business units
Continuous improvement of University and College recruiting strategies
Regular reporting on hiring numbers, sourcing outcomes and overall data insights
Provide consultation and guidance to assigned lines of business by combining HR knowledge, processes, and skills to assist departments in achieving business goals
Provide guidance and recommend appropriate innovative solutions to customers while managing inherit risks
Working Conditions
Hybrid - Work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations after the onboarding period. However, the employee must live within a reasonable commute to a Duke Energy headquarter facility
Frequent travel to other locations
Basic/Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
In addition to required degree, six (6) or more years of related work experience
In lieu of Bachelor's degree AND six (6) or more years minimum of related work experience listed above, High School/GED AND 10 years minimum related work experience
Desired Qualifications
Experience in Human Resources, external relationship management, and recruiting
Supervisory experience in a Talent Acquisition or HR organization, preferred
Experience developing and building working relationships with all levels of management, employees, clients, external vendors and candidates
Demonstrated leadership skills with experience working across organizations and removing boundaries by sharing and obtaining information, communicating openly, and building trust to achieve common goals
Demonstrated experience effectively building and developing diverse and inclusive working teams, e.g. motivating and engaging direct reports to elevate their performance
Demonstrated excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Effective interpersonal skills, e.g. influencing and listening skills to deal effectively with all levels of employees, management and customers
Strong influencer with a high aptitude for customer service
Proficient in Microsoft Office, e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills required to analyze complex issues, develop logical conclusions and make appropriate recommendations
Ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects and display effective negotiating skills when dealing with diverse customer expectations
