Position Overview

Children of America (COA) Xtreme is seeking enthusiastic and reliable Summer Camp Counselors to help create a safe, engaging, and fun summer experience for children ages 5-12.

This seasonal position runs for 11 weeks, Monday through Friday, from June 15 through August 28. Counselors will lead daily activities, supervise campers, support field trips, and promote a positive camp environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and engage campers throughout daily activities
  • Lead arts & crafts, outdoor games, STEM activities, and themed programming
  • Maintain a safe and structured environment at all times
  • Ensure proper supervision during indoor activities, outdoor play, and field trips
  • Communicate professionally with families and team members
  • Maintain attendance and incident documentation as required
  • Support campers' social, emotional, and behavioral needs using positive guidance techniques
  • Follow all company policies and state licensing regulations related to childcare and safety

Qualifications & Skills

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working with children in a camp, school, childcare, or youth program setting preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage groups of children in an active environment
  • Dependable, flexible, and team-oriented
  • CPR/First Aid certification preferred or willingness to obtain upon hire

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to actively supervise children indoors and outdoors
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and participate in camp activities for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds as needed

The base pay range for this position is $18.00 to $20.00 Hourly. Final compensation will be based on experience, skills, location, and internal equity. This role may also be eligible for performance-based incentives or other benefits.
