Senior IT Project Manager - Infrastructure & Cloud Transition
Job Level: W2T Consultant
Job Location: Hybrid, will be required to be onsite in Chicago a few days every month

In this role, you will:
Infrastructure Readiness & Migration
  • Lead infrastructure planning, design, and execution for Day 1 readiness and post-merger integration.
  • Oversee migration of network, compute, storage, and end-user environments across legacy and target-state systems.
  • Develop and manage detailed cutover plans for physical and cloud-based infrastructure components.
  • Ensure business continuity and minimal disruption during transitions.
  • Hybrid Cloud & Connectivity Manage provisioning and migration of hybrid cloud environments (Azure, AWS).
  • Coordinate global network and connectivity alignment across all business regions.
  • Work with security and compliance teams to validate architecture and operational readiness.

Stakeholder & Vendor Coordination
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, and application teams to ensure smooth end-to-end system integration.
  • Partner with managed service providers and external vendors to deliver high-quality outcomes on schedule.
  • Drive effective cross-functional communication and issue resolution across geographically distributed teams.

Program Governance & Risk Management
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, dependency maps, and communication strategies.
  • Present infrastructure readiness updates, risks, and mitigation plans to executive sponsors and steering committees.
  • Track and report KPIs, program health metrics, and delivery milestones to ensure alignment with strategic goals.

Who You Are:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (Master's preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience leading complex IT infrastructure or M&A integration projects.
  • Strong understanding of hybrid cloud technologies (Azure, AWS), networking, and end-user computing.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage global service providers.
  • Experience in large-scale IT transformation or M&A environments highly preferred.
  • Exceptional communication, risk management, and executive reporting skills. PMP, ITIL, or cloud certification (Azure/AWS) is a strong plus.
