Job Description

Day-to-day activities include but are not limited to the following:
leading and participating in multiple, competing, cross-functional technical projects and service requests
creation and management of project plans including requirements, business case, schedule, budget, status reports ย and other documentation as required
creation and upkeep of the team's configuration and change management documentation
refining business processes/efficiency improvements as related to assigned projects
project-related incident handling and problem resolution

Qualifications


Experience managing technical resources and maintaining project schedules and budgets.
Strong technical background in IT infrastructure with an emphasis on technology development/deployment.
Skilled in the creation of project related documents, including but not limited to RFIs/RFQs/RFPs, business cases, research findings and detailed statements of work.
Configure, optimize and maintain Windows 2003 Servers in an Active Directory, multi-domain environment
Excellent requirements elicitation skills
Ability to work independently on tasks of moderate-high complexity
Ability to create and maintain system topology maps and operational documentation
Excellent business communication skills, both written, verbal and ability to present information to a group
Excellent technical writing skills
Working knowledge of and ability to apply industry-standard project management best practices
Working knowledge of and ability to apply IT Service Management best practices
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years experience managing mid-large enterprise infrastructure projects/programs in an environment similar to the following:
Geographically dispersed organization with unique, diverse business units and 5,000+ employees.
Data center with 300+ Windows Servers in an Active Directory, multi-forest, multi-domain environment running: Citrix; MS SQL, Exchange, ISA, HP Server Hardware, Server virtualization (VMWare), mid-range SAN/Storage platforms, secure remote access (VPN, dialup)
In addition, applicants will have a proven track record of projects consistently completed on time and within budget. Successful candidates must be able to command the technical respect of peers and management and contribute to normal operations as needed
