The Technical Infrastructure PM will engage and assist the Team's effort in organizing, coordinating and facilitating relocating the Primary Data Center from One Penn Plaza to the selected Co-Location facility

Complete Description:

  • 10years of experience in IT support focused on Project Management in infrastructure, esp. Data center build\Relocations.
  • Can commute to Newark NJ on Hybrid basis as per client needs
  • Has performed more than 3 data center moves\builds (Facilities\Network\Compute\Storage\Migrate)
  • Led>2 (1000 users scope) corporate headquarters moves and was responsible for the networking and telecom procurement. New LAN \ MDF design-Build-Go-Live

Job Description - Infra PM:

  • The infrastructure of information technology comprises of hardware systems, software, network connections and servers.
  • The PM will manage project efforts for DC (new)design\build\migrate LAN\MDF design build projects portfolio.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, within scope and within budget.
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Act as change agent to improve overall processes and programs.
  • Provide guidance to project team throughout project lifecycle to meet applicable business requirements.
  • Support the development and deployment of project management standards, guidelines, and processes.
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation.
  • Measure project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Report and escalate to management as needed.
  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders.
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals.
  • Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members.
