Job description

LP Technology Manager

The LP Technology Manager owns and oversees the data analytics systems including case management systems, POS Exception based reporting systems and Audit functions. This role will act as a Loss Prevention Subject Matter Expert for cross-functional relationships across the business. They will mine data to generate analytics that provide insight to fraud and loss that impacts the business. The LP Technology Manager will conduct and lead Investigations to provide findings to the Department's field team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leads efforts to reduce shrink by guiding the field team with POS Exception Reporting and Case Management Systems
  • Takes ownership of department analytics that allows the LP team to predict where shrink will increase
  • Researches and identifies potential internal fraud cases
  • Manages efforts to reduce fraud in the business in concert with Finance, E-Commerce, Store Operations, and all other departments as needed
  • Takes complete ownership of department systems to include Exception Based Reporting, Case Management, Audit, & CCTV, etc.
  • Leads cross-functional partnerships at home office as a subject matter expert for Loss Prevention needs

Required Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Years of Experience: 7+ years of experience in related field
  • ThinkLP system administration experience

Critical Skills & Attributes

  • Advanced Degree Preferred, i.e. MBA
  • 7+ years of retail loss prevention experience; experience with multi-store locations, preferably with a large-scale retailer
  • Advanced level of administrative and technical knowledge in retail loss prevention
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Project Management experience
  • Basic knowledge of database structure and language
  • Thorough knowledge of legal ramifications and procedures
  • Ability to integrate loss prevention, inventory shrinkage reduction goals with corporate and stores organization
  • Advanced knowledge and technical expertise in shortage controls, security systems technology, database management and enterprise level pathways and storage models
  • Ability to understand and walk-through integration of POS, inventory and data warehouse interfaces into LP systems
