 Bishop & Company is seeking a Collections Representative for a financial institution in the McCully area.

Overview:

• Reviewing and researching accounts and reports for possible delinquencies.  
• Prepares notifications to customers to remind of payments.
• Manages delinquent transactions such as returned checks, overdrawn accounts and insufficient fund fees.
• Initiates contact with delinquent accountholders to provide first time reminders of payment and makes payment arrangements/plans.  
• Documents collection efforts and refers advanced/difficult cases to senior staff.
• Refers delinquent accounts to collection agency, attorney or repossession as directed by senior staff.
• Responsible for preparation, filing and notification for claims under loan protection insurance programs.  
• Files disability and life insurance elected by accountholders.
• Provides administrative support to department, including, but not limited to, answering phones, retrieving and opening mail, typing, faxing, photocopying and filing.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1+ year of customer service, banking, or related experience required
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office
• Able to handle multiple priorities
• Ability to follow regulations, procedures, and policies

• Location: McCully area, Honolulu, HI
• Parking: Free street parking
• Schedule: Full time, Monday – Friday, negotiable hours. Occasional Saturdays as needed.
