Pay: $22.00/hour

Seasonal. ability to work evenings, weekends ad holidays.

This seasonal position is scheduled for November 6 through January 12. Highest need is during the weeks of November 13-25. Hours are based on business need and may be variable. A schedule will be provided within a few days of hire.

OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for Seasonal Catering Service + Operations Associate works during the holidays season. Their responsibilities include assisting in the smooth and seamless holiday operations at our Catering and Commissary kitchen. They will be working with our catering sales and operations team to fulfill holiday catering orders. We are looking for someone with experience working in a office setting - with phone, computer, and excellent communication skills. Attention to detail is a must! They are part of a cohesive Bi-Rite team that supports the Bi-Rite Missions, Vision, and Community Values.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Provides phone, email and website service, sales and operational support for guest’s catering orders.
Responsible for ensuring production and execution of catering orders to guest’s specifications (e.g., menu development), including quality and quantity of products, presentation and packaging, signage, delivery, issue resolution, invoices and payment.
Responsible for coordinating and packing catering orders, as needed.
Maintains working knowledge of catering products and services to support increased sales and positive guest experience.
Ensures invoices and payments are handled according to Bi-Rite’s contracts and terms and processes payments in a timely manner.
Keeps the business running smoothly by providing support to all aspects of the catering business, as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

Six months retail and food service experience recommended.
Basic math and computer skills.
ServSafe Certification, California Food Handler card is required within 30 days post-hire. Bi-Rite provides on-site training and certification.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
