Position Summary:

Responsible for managing third party service providers for site services (hard). Ensure coordination and reporting of facilities subcontracted maintenance contract(s) activities such as HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.

Primary Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the operational day to day facility responsibilities for the FAL including subcontractor coordination with focus on several key buildings. Ensuring adherence of regulations of all local and federal laws with respect to the operation of the FAL.
  2. Coordinate subcontractor activities to prevent impact to Mfg. Operations and minimize impact to end users.
  3. .Recommend and manage initiatives to increase and improve service delivery considering both cost and quality - KPI Management      

Additional Responsibilities:

Other duties as assigned:      

  • Manages vendors on a daily basis; identifies training and tracks performance to KPI's, effectively communicates with stakeholders in timely manner
  • Coordinate and Facilitate Monthly and Quarterly business reviews within contract guidelines with proper points of contact.
  • Cooperate and coordinate all activities with entire FM team
  • Review, approve and process invoicing for related activities
  • Development and tracking of corrective action plans regarding service delivery
  • Other duties as directed by facility manager

Qualified Experience / Skills / Training:

Education:

  • High School diploma with 3+ years of facility management experience - Required
  • Degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Construction Management, or related field - Preferred

Experience:

  • 3+years managing and reporting subcontractor activities in a production environment. 5+ Years preferred
  • 3+ years of facility management experience in a production environment

Licensure/Certifications:

  • IFMA, BOMA or PROFM Professional Facilities Certification - Preferred

Knowledge, Skills, Demonstrated Capabilities:

  • Knowledge of current industry trends, best practices and technology
  • Specified focus on HVAC, plumbing, electrical and fixed fire suppression systems
  • Knowledge and successful application of project management practices
  • Analytical and quantitative skills with proven ability to develop strategic solutions
  • Budgetary management is critical

Communication Skills (Spoken, Written, Influencing, Proficiency in Other Languages):

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software necessary to create and maintain reports and logs.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform well in a fast-paced environment.

Technical Systems Proficiency:

  • Operational experience using CMMS systems- preferred
  • Operational experience using project management tools (i.e Procore) -preferred

Travel Required:

  •  10-20 % Domestic and International

Eligibility:

  • Eligible for employment in the US

Decision Making, Complexity:

  • Independent decision making often within financial targets - OPex and CAPex
  • Stakeholder management complex - site, intra and inter-department, divisional, local airport authority

Organizational information:

  • Reports to the Facilities Manager - Hard Services

  • Responsible for facility infrastructure, buildings, and contractual obligations as assigned
  • Service output has direct effect on all operations across the site

Nature of Contacts:

Involved communication on a regular basis with internal and external parties.

Physical Requirements:

  • Vision: adequate to enter and read material on computer screens. Able to observe manufacturing operations including equipment as well as individual tasks.
  • Hearing: able to hear sufficiently to engage in conversation in office settings and on production floor and flight line. Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals.
  • Speaking: able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying size with or without amplification.
  • Equipment Operation Able to operate a wide range of personal and office electronic equipment as well as production-related tools and equipment including hydraulic lifts and power drills, etc.
  • Carrying: able to occasionally carry up to 50lbs/22kg which engaging in training, addressing production issues or as part of continuous improvement projects.
  • Lifting: able to occasionally lift up to 50lbs/22kg.
  • Pushing/Pulling: able to push/pull items on production and in office areas.
  • Sitting: able to sit for extended periods of time at computer, in meetings and observing production processes.
  • Squatting/Kneeling: able to occasionally squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items shelved on bottom shelves.
  • Standing able to stand for extended periods of time, often on concrete floors observing production operations or delivering information.
  • Standing: able to stand for extended periods of time delivering information or observing production.
  • Travel: able to travel overseas and domestically sometimes for extended periods of time.
  • Walking: able to walk through office and production areas, around flight line and airstrips and sometimes on uneven indoor and/or outdoor surfaces.
