CONTROLS TECH/CONTROLS SPECIALIST
Job Description
As a Controls Specialist, you will work both individually and in teams to support design, programming & commissioning of building automation systems (BAS) & Building Management Systems (BMS). You will be working with Allen Bradley Studio 5000 & Ignition HMI/Scada platforms.
Responsibilities
- Program, Design , Troubleshoot PLC, HMI & Scada systems for the instrumentation & control systems in BAS & BMS Systems
- Conduct system and facility engineering job walk assessments.
- Troubleshoot and perform root cause failure analysis on assigned projects.
- Train suppliers in the owner's commissioning software systems.
- Provide and manage access for suppliers in the owner's commissioning software systems.
- Interface smoothly with engineering design team members and client representatives.
Essential Skills
- At least 2 years of experience in commissioning or construction for I&C or Electrical Basebuild systems in the Advanced Technology sector.
- Proficiency with Rockwell Automation, PLC5, and Control Logix hardware and software.
- Experience with multi-discipline large capital projects involving Owners, General Contractors, Contractors, and System Integrators.
- Understanding of Design/Build (Engineering and Construction).
- Knowledge of complex process systems architecture & design, Instrumentation, Device Selection, Networking, PLC & I/O architectures, P&IDs, data sheets, and SCADA.
- Working knowledge of environments common in large industrial applications such as Dry/Wet Mechanical, AWN, Gas/Chem Distribution, HVAC, and Clean Room environmental control.
- Proficiency in written and verbal technical communication, including generating reports and conducting group presentations.

This is a Contract position based out of New Albany, OH.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr.
