Job description

Summary - Controls Technician: We are currently seeking Controls Technicians for an exciting, mega project centered around integrating upgraded, automated controls systems for one of the leading companies in the nation. This is a very notable project with a high-profile client that will undoubtedly lead to great experience for you.

Compensation – Controls Technician: The range provided is representative of our willingness to consider Controls Technicians at varying levels of tenure and expertise.

Duties and Responsibilities - Controls Technician:

  • Integrate and install new controls systems including Rockwell automation products (Allen Bradley PLC's), variable frequency drives, safety circuits and control switches, and HMI's.
  • Examine electrical and mechanical equipment during operating cycles and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Replace worn or defective parts.
  • Calibrate meters, set timers, etc.
  • Read and interpret wiring diagrams, electrical schematics, blueprints, and PLC programs.
  • Attend and participate in customer start-up and technical meetings as required.
  • Assist with planning as required; then execute project startup against plan and on budget.

Qualifications - Controls Technician:

  • 3+ years of experience working with automated control systems as a Controls Technician, Field Service Technician, Automation Technician, or PLC Technician
  • Experience working with Allen Bradley PLC systems (Rockwell automation)
  • Knowledge of ladder logic and PLC program development (CompactLogix, ControlLogix)
  • Experience installing HMI's and training operators on the use of them
  • Knowledge of safety circuits and switches
  • Ability to travel
