Specializing in the optimization of complex building systems, our team's diversified skill set provides value to our clients from the design stages of new construction all the way through operating existing buildings. Our consulting group provides a full array of commissioning services for both new and existing buildings, and our technical services group provides start-up services on complex HVAC equipment from a wide range of manufacturers. The Airtech team consists of experienced industry-leading professionals, focused on logistical, energy and cost-effective solutions to our clients.
Role: Controls Technician (HVAC) - Michigan
The Controls Technician specializes in the installation, programming, start-up, and service of building automation and HVAC control systems for a variety of applications including air-conditioning, heating, ventilation, humidity control, and energy management systems. We are searching for experienced controls technicians to support our growing service business. The ideal candidate will be able to troubleshoot, diagnose, and optimize building automation systems, be dependable, and possess strong customer service skills. This role would service our Michigan area.
Requirements:
  • 3-5 years of experience in HVAC controls or building automation systems
  • Familiar with Facility Explorer / CCT
  • Experience with Distech controller line and GFX programming
  • Proficient in Niagara environment, including EC-Net, Webs, Lynxspring, Vykon, or similar platforms
  • Honeywell controls experience preferred but not required
  • Basic understanding of DraftSight
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Visio
  • Field experience with commercial HVAC systems and controls integration
  • Working knowledge of commercial air-conditioning, heating, and rooftop HVAC systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair control systems and associated HVAC equipment
  • Must have your own hand tools
  • Must have a clean driving record
  • OSHA 10-hour training certification (preferred)
Estimated Salary:
$45-$55/hr, with flexibility based on experience and skills.
