Guest Service Agent

Definition: Under the supervision of the Front Office Manager or in their absence, the Front Desk Agent is responsible to register all arrivals and departures, process transactions, take reservations, take care of guests needs and process various administrative tasks.

Duties:

• Greeting guests, registering arrivals and departures and assigning them a room
• Answer telephone calls and take reservations
• Answer calls and direct them to the appropriate person
• Manage hotel room availability
• Always be aware of in house activities and events
• Follow up with management regarding particular issues
• Keep track of the list of arrivals
• Manage the delivery of courier items and confirm who the receiver is before accepting the parcel
• Take care of mail arrivals for guest and administration
• Recommend and make reservations for restaurants, tour buses and other local attractions.
• All other related guest services responsibilities.
• Assist with other related guests request in a timely and professional manner.

Requirements:

• Excellent customer service and experience
• Pleasant, courteous, empathetic, fast acting, professional, discreet and friendly
• Strong communication skills
• Demonstrate organization and multi-tasking abilities
• Strong computer knowledge (experience with RoomKeyprogram an asset)
• Able to work in a team environment
• May be asked to work weekdays, weeknights, weekends and Holidays
• Hospitality or tourism diploma / degree or equivalent experience an asset
• Excellent English oral and written.
