We are seeking an experienced and strategicDirector of Engineering Operationsto translate executive vision into measurable outcomes, drive cohesion across business and technology stakeholders, and build the organizational capabilities Lingo needs to lead in digital health. This role drives disciplined governance, performance visibility, and effective change enablement.
What You'll Work On
- Serve as the principal strategic advisor to the Engineering leadership team, translating long-range business objectives into a prioritized, actionable technology strategy
- Drive preparation of executive committee presentations, synthesizing complex technology and organizational narratives into compelling, concise communications
- Build, lead, and scale an Engineering Operations team, including Technical Project Managers, Systems Engineers, and Support Engineers
- Lead organizational effectiveness initiatives across the Technology function, including operating model design, capability assessments, and leadership team health
- Identify structural and cultural barriers to organizational velocity and design sustainable interventions to resolve them
- Own and continually improve onboarding and offboarding processes for the Engineering organization
- Lead the Technology organization's engagement with key external partners, including strategic vendors, platform providers, and ecosystem collaborators, representing Lingo's technology vision and interests
- Champion continuous improvement methodologies (Lean, Agile, and hybrid models) to optimize end-to-end value streams
- Standardize tools, processes, and operational practices across teams to improve alignment and execution consistency
- Partner with Program Management on resource allocation, portfolio planning, and capacity forecasting across initiatives
- Define, manage, and report on OKRs, KPIs, and operational metrics, present progress and insights to senior stakeholders
- Ensure Technology investments and operations maintain ongoing alignment with regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, GDPR, and ISO standards, in close partnership with Legal and Compliance
- Support release cadence, delivery readiness, and global deployment coordination with Engineering and Product teams
Required Qualifications
- 18+ years of progressive experience in technology strategy, management consulting, or senior technology leadership roles within complex, matrixed organizations
- Demonstrated success operating as a trusted executive advisor, influencing and aligning senior stakeholders across technology, product, commercial, and finance functions
- Deep expertise in organizational design, operating model transformation, and building high-performing teams at scale
- Proven ability to develop and execute multi-year technology strategies in regulated, fast-paced environments
- Exceptional executive communication skills, including the ability to structure complex narratives for C-suite and board audiences
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing large-scale technology portfolios, including investment prioritization and ROI frameworks
- A track record of building and maturing governance frameworks, strategic planning processes, and performance management systems across technology organizations
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in digital health, consumer health technology, or other highly regulated industries (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR, FDA oversight)
- Experience in high-growth scale-up or venture-backed environments, with exposure to rapid organizational scaling
- Experience with IEC 62304-based development processes
- Strong experience defining OKRs, KPIs, and capacity planning for high-throughput, high-availability platforms
The base pay for this position is
$172,000.00 - $344,000.00In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
