About the Role:ย 

The Director, DevOps plays a key role in leading the strategy, execution, and continuous improvement of DevOps capabilities across Priorityโ€™s technology environment. This role is responsible for building and scaling infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and engineering practices that improve reliability, efficiency, and delivery speed. The position requires strong technical depth across cloud, automation, and infrastructure, along with the leadership skills to guide a global team and influence cross-functional partners. You will collaborate closely with Engineering, QA, and IT teams to strengthen system performance, operational excellence, and long-term platform scalability.


Responsibilities:ย 

  • Lead and mentor a team of DevOps engineers, ensuring best practices in automation, cloud infrastructure, and CI/CD.ย 

  • Collaborate with development, QA, and IT teams to streamline deployments and optimize system reliability.ย 

  • Oversee infrastructure as code (IaC), monitoring, and security implementations.

  • Drive continuous improvement in DevOps processes and culture.ย 

  • Evangelize DevOps best practice and technologies, working closely with development teams to drive adoption.ย 

  • Ensure high availability, performance, and security of applications and infrastructure.ย 

  • Evaluate and implement new tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance efficiency.ย 

  • Keep up to date with industry trends and competitor products.ย 

  • Measure and analyze product success using relevant KPIs (uptime, cost, adoption).ย 

  • Act as the subject matter expert for internal teams regarding product direction and supported use cases.ย 

  • Estimate costs, build business cases, and assist with budget creation.ย

Candidate Requirements:ย 

Requiredย 

  • 10-15 years of experience.
  • 3-5 years of management experience, ideally with a focus on technical/infrastructure products.ย 
  • 3-5 years of experience as a software engineer, DevOps engineer, or systems architect.ย 
  • Strong expertise in AWS technologies (EKS, MSK, VPC, RDS, etc).
  • Significant hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, TeamCity, Octo, GitHub Actions).ย 
  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
  • Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership abilities.ย 
  • Can work comfortably in JIRA following the Agile methodology.ย 
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and collaborate effectively.ย 
  • High resilience and the ability to manage change.ย 

Preferredย 

  • Experience leading global, distributed DevOps or platform engineering teams.ย 

  • Experience driving DevOps transformation or large-scale infrastructure modernization initiatives.ย 

  • Familiarity with site reliability engineering (SRE) principles and practices.ย 

  • Experience managing budgets, cost optimization, and vendor relationships in cloud environments.ย 

  • Experience operating in high-growth or enterprise-scale environments.ย
