Position: Director - DevOps
Location: 2121 North California Blv., Ste 220, Walnut Creek, CA 94596
Responsibilities: Design, implement, and optimize enterprise-grade IT infrastructure and cloud-native platforms, focusing on architecting highly scalable, resilient systems and managing automated CI/CD pipelines across complex environments. Define standardized release automation and CI/CD pipeline patterns that integrate enterprise DevOps and SecOps toolchains. Develop performance metrics and reporting frameworks to validate pipeline integrity using industry-standard DevSecOps platforms. Engineer enhancements to existing systems to improve availability, optimize performance, and strengthen monitoring and alerting capabilities. Architect and deploy cloud infrastructure patterns that support high availability, elasticity, and automated provisioning using infrastructure-as-code and orchestration technologies. Lead the end-to-end promotion of code across development, staging, and production environments, and engineer infrastructure code to support enterprise-scale cloud deployments. Implement robust secrets and configuration management practices, and continuously improve platform reliability, performance, and operational resilience. Design and enforce DevSecOps patterns aligned with organizational security and compliance requirements and identify scalable toolsets for infrastructure-as-code, monitoring, and governance. Additionally, engineer, prototype, and implement emerging technologies such as cloud orchestration frameworks, advanced observability solutions, and AI/ML-driven automation to enhance infrastructure scalability, operational intelligence, and efficiency across the enterprise. Position also supervises 9 employees.
Educ./experience: Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Information Systems Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field, plus two (2) years of post-baccalaureate experience as a System Lead, DevOps Engineer, or in a related technical position. Experience must include engineering and deploying high-scale, high-throughput cloud platforms supporting enterprise-grade workloads; designing and implementing DevOps pipelines with integrated security and compliance controls; orchestrating containerized workloads using Kubernetes; developing and managing Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform for automated cloud provisioning and migration; and building advanced automation frameworks using PowerShell and Bash to support infrastructure lifecycle management and operational efficiency.
