Position Summary
Base-2 Solutions is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support the USSOUTHCOM J26 ENHANCED DOMAIN AWARENESS task order. This role involves designing, implementing, and optimizing CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure management, and ensuring scalable deployments across cloud and on-premises environments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and optimize CI/CD pipelines.
  • Automate infrastructure management.
  • Ensure scalable deployments across cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Manage container orchestration using Kubernetes and Docker.
  • Utilize infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Employ continuous integration tools including Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or AWS CodePipeline.
  • Maintain strong understanding of cloud environments including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Apply security best practices.
  • Use monitoring and logging solutions such as Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field OR a minimum of 5 years of equivalent experience in DevOps engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters.
  • Experience automating cloud infrastructure.
  • Experience implementing secure, high-availability CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience with microservices architecture.
  • Experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio and Linkerd.
  • Experience with observability tools.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA).
  • AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional.
  • Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert.
Required Education and Experience Equivalency
