Job description
The AXA XL North America Programs Unit provides customized program solutions and underwriting capacity for market-leading delegated-authority Program Administrator partners who underwrite and administer Property and/or Casualty programs on our behalf.
The Program Manager is responsible for both Underwriting goals and Relationship Management goals for an assigned portfolio of mainly Property and Inland Marine delegated authority programs.
What you'll be doing
What will your essential responsibilities include?
Financial:
- Achieve an assigned combined ratio on the portfolio of all programs managed.
- Meet or exceed required rate change and other key performance metrics for all programs managed.
- Perform Underwriting Audits for all assigned programs, prepare audit reports, and ensure compliance with all recommendations made in accordance with Division standards for timeliness.
- Update and actively manage adherence to Underwriting Guidelines for all programs managed, and handle referrals that fall outside of the Guidelines.
- Establish and actively manage customized Program Management Plans for all programs. These Plans are developed through regular client engagement, understanding needs and aspirations, and aligning business objectives.
- Achieve or exceed budgeted premium volume for all programs managed.
- Support the writing of new programs and develop product or service enhancements for existing programs.

- Experienced in successfully managing multiple Lines of Property and Inland Marine business at both an individual account and portfolio level.
- Ability to influence stakeholders such as delegated authority partner decision-making.
- Ability to build effective relationships across the organization, including superiors, and peers, supporting collaboration and meeting stakeholder needs.
- Ability to interpret program specific KPIs and metrics to draw conclusions about the health of the program and develop actions based on conclusions
- Outstanding Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication, collaboration and presentation skills and willingness to mentor others.
- Experience with Project planning and project management frameworks that enable the assessment of a business and the development of solutions to improve it.
- Self-starter who is organized and able to work self-directed as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced team-centric environment.
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring skills with the ability to obtain cooperation and participation of individuals and groups.
- Travel is estimated at 20%.

The U.S. base salary range for this position is USD 119,500 - 199,100.
Actual pay will be determined based upon the individual's skills, experience and location. We strive for market alignment and internal equity with our colleagues' pay.
