Job description

We are looking for an experienced, multi-skilled Restaurant Refrigeration/HVAC Specialist to come and Join our Agk-McDonald’s Team. The Restaurant Refrigeration/HVAC Specialist will travel to 25 restaurants around the Phoenix valley to repair and maintain refrigeration systems (walk in refrigerators and freezers, reach in coolers, ice machines, drink systems), and air conditioning (HVAC) systems and more.

Supervisor: Report to the Maintenance Manager.

Non-Exempt Hourly Pay: $22 to $40 p/h

Shift Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7am to 4pm, but must be flexible to work on weekends or longer hours.

Must be available to be On-call. OT is available upon need.

Travel: Traveling from Central, West Phoenix, is required.

Work Van will be provided, if you have a clean MVR record for the past 24 months.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Can diagnose, repair Walk-In & Reach In Refrigerators/Freezers and ice machines
• Can diagnose, troubleshot and repair A/C units. Including replacing thermostats.
• Performs routine maintenance on HVAC systems to ensure they operate properly.
• Maintains inventory of replacement parts and orders replacements.
• Fill out paperwork, parts, worksheet, and more. Complies with company and industry safety standards.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Knowledge of HVAC systems, equipment and tools (i.e. thermometers, pressure gauges, and other testing devices to evaluate HVAC s.) is a plus.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Ability to read operation and repair manuals for HVAC systems.
• Experience with repairing & maintaining restaurant (Hot) equipment such as Fryer’s/Grills, Etc. is preferred.
• Excellent communication skills, as required to interact with restaurant team members.
• Bilingual (Eng/Span) speaking skills preferred.
• Beverage multi-plex systems, repair and maintain below.
• Blender In Cup Machine
• Refrigerators
• Blending Ice Machine

Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• HVAC/R Certification a plus, not required.
• 2 + years of related experience preferred not required.

Physical Requirements:

• Physically able to work on HVAC units.
• Will be required to work in settings with extreme cold or extreme heat, depending on time of year.
• Prolonged periods of standing, kneeling, crawling, bending, stooping or climbing ladders.
• Must be able to lift 50+ pounds at a time.
