The Role and What You'll Do:
The UFC BJJ Operations Manager plays a key role in supporting the planning, execution, and growth of UFC BJJ events and athlete initiatives. This position is responsible for assisting across event operations, logistics, athlete engagement, and content coordination to ensure execution and high-level performance across all UFC BJJ properties.
Event Operations & Execution
  • Assist with event-week operations, including weigh-ins, media day setup, and coordination
  • Provide on-site support during live events to ensure smooth, high-quality execution
  • Support logistical planning and operational workflows for UFC BJJ events
  • Coordinate with internal teams to align timelines, deliverables, and event needs

Pre-Event Planning & Administration
  • Support pre-event administrative tasks, including scheduling, documentation, and operational preparation
  • Assist in organizing and tracking key event assets and deliverables across departments
  • Help ensure all event components are prepared and aligned prior to execution

Athlete & Content Coordination
  • Assist with pre-event promotional efforts, including coordination and execution of athlete-related content
  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather and organize content and assets for marketing and event use
  • Support athlete logistics and communication leading into events

Programs & Initiatives
  • Assist in the coordination and execution of UFC BJJ seminars and instructional content
  • Support the development and rollout of UFC BJJ athlete-facing programs and initiatives

Talent Scouting & Partnerships
  • Assist in identifying and scouting emerging BJJ talent for UFC BJJ opportunities
  • Support relationship management and coordination with live event partners and organizations
  • Help evaluate opportunities to expand the UFC BJJ ecosystem through partnerships and talent pipelines

General Operations
  • Provide ongoing administrative and operational support across the UFC BJJ team
  • Contribute to building efficient systems and processes to support the growth of UFC BJJ

You Have These:
  • 1-3+ years of experience in event operations, sports management, or combat sports (BJJ/grappling preferred)
  • Experience supporting live events, including weigh-ins, brackets, mat coordination, and athlete check-ins
  • Familiarity with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competition structure, rulesets, and athlete workflows
  • Experience working with athletes, coaches, or gyms in a BJJ or grappling environment
  • Background coordinating content or media around BJJ events, seminars, or athlete promotions
  • BJJ training experience (e.g., active practitioner or competitor) strongly preferred
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple timelines
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, production, and operations teams in a fast-paced environment
