 SUMMARY
The Enterprise Audio/Visual architect is responsible for the facilitation, analysis, design, documentation and communication tasks related to the integration of Audio Visual/Telephony technologies in the workplace in support of business strategies and processes.  They will be designing the Audio/Visual/infrastructure and setting the direction for those platforms that supports day to day operations.  Provides subject-matter-expertise for current and future planning, technical architectures, models and standards. Working closely with the other members of the architecture team to ensure a cohesive enterprise technology strategy and direction. The position reports to the Director of Enterprise Architecture.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • The Audio/Visual Architect establishes and maintains enterprise level architecture through the stages of planning, design and execution of all new AV buildouts. They are responsible for setting our strategic direction and future roadmap in the AV space
  • Works closely with multiple internal teams and third-party vendors to plan, design and execute projects for audio/visual upgrades/buildouts for all conference spaces, training rooms and collaboration workspaces globally.
  • Provides expert consultation to inform strategic technology and system decisions as well as tactical decisions related to projects.
  • Listening, drawing out key concepts and articulating advanced technical and non-technical concepts with ease (both written and oral formats) to customers, peers and management at several levels and across the organization with minimal oversight.
  • Proceeds from concept, to design, to leading the implementation of complex, medium to large scale projects.
  • Ability to solicit input from internal and external sources, including the ability to investigate and incorporate best practices from other corporations, experience and sound judgment.
  • Ensures that programs and projects are designed to support and implement company goals and strategic objectives.
  • Does "whatever it takes" to support the tactical and strategic goals of the team and in the Firm.
REQUIREMENTS
  • 5+ years high-level Audio-Visual infrastructure design
  • Knowledge of video conferencing end points, Cisco SX/Room series, Polycom HDX/RealPresence, Microsoft Surface Hubs
  • Knowledge of video conferencing protocols, communications and standards, H.323, SIP, E.164, required.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Skype and integration with AV systems.
  • Knowledge of cloud conferencing system, Zoom, BlueJeans
  • Proven experience in audiovisual operations, processes and procedures.
  • Experience with building and maintaining high-availability (>99%) environments
  • Project Management experience and working on buildouts/with construction teams
  • Sound & Lighting Design Experience
  • Infrastructure Operations Experience
  • Audiovisual production and meeting planning experience a plus.
  • Previous manager or supervisor experience a plus.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication (verbal and written) skills in preparing reports, presentations and documentation.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems with speed and efficiency is required.
  • Ability to travel (domestically and internationally) as necessary
