This position has overall responsibility for the leadership of the accounts payable, T&E and payroll teams for the enterprise. This role will ensure the development, direction, planning and evaluation of the accounts payable transactions and travel and expenses are in accordance with policy and procedures. Ensure that all accounting within remit is compliant with tax and accounting requirements.
Payroll oversight is inclusive of the weekly and bi-weekly accurate and timely processing as well as tax reporting for US and Canada employees. This position will monitor and evaluate key performance indicators, creating and managing audit reports, ensuring system testing, and identifying and implementing improvements proactively.
Essential Functions
- Provides oversight and supervision of the Accounts Payable, Travel and Expense and Payroll teams.
- Develops systems and programs for motivating, evaluating and developing staff to help them achieve their individual goals; collectively achieve the department's mission; and foster leadership development throughout the organization
- Management of Accounts Payable and T&E processing
- Maintain financial systems, reconcile disbursements to the general ledger and ensure timely compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Documents and reviews work processes to identify and test internal controls
- Ensure strong controls are in place for payroll processing and vendor payments
- Work with HR on processes regarding benefit accruals, sales incentives, annual Global Bonus and merit process, incentive programs and one-time payments.
- Responsible for coordinating any vendors or outsourcing modeling for services within the payroll, accounts payable and T&E scope.
- Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing and tax reporting for US and Canada.
- Ensure timely key payroll reporting for quarter and annual tax audits and W-2 balancing.
Minimum Requirements
Education:
Bachelor degree; emphasis in Business, Accounting or Finance preferred; MBA preferred
Experience:
- 10 years combined experience in accounts payable/ transactional finance operations and payroll processing, payroll taxes and payroll accounting related functions
- 5 years supervisory management experience
- Experience with Workday payroll and time tracking preferred
- Experience with SAP preferred
Skills/Competencies:

- Thorough knowledge of payroll and benefits including regulatory reporting
- Ability to create and analyze analytical reports related to vendor and payroll disbursements

Organizational Relationship/Scope:
This position will work with other leaders within the Finance and Human Resources functions within the enterprise and will have approximately 5 to 6 direct reports within payroll and accounts payable.
