Job description

What your experience will be
As Director of Partnerships at Slang AI, you'll own the partnerships function end-to-end: from setting strategy for how we grow through channel, integration, and referral partners, to building the relationships that unlock new revenue and deepen our footprint in the restaurant technology ecosystem. This is a building role, and what you create in the first six months will shape the function for years.
Day-to-day, you'll identify and sign the right partners: POS systems, reservation platforms, marketing tools, and hospitality tech providers, then make sure those partnerships perform. That means negotiating partnership structures, designing co-sell and co-marketing programs, building and working in partnership with marketing for co-branded assets and sales leaders in enablement delivery, and owning partner performance metrics. You'll report to the VP of Revenue, who brings deep revenue leadership experience and a strong belief in partnerships as a GTM multiplier. Expect a high-trust, high-accountability dynamic: they set the context; the execution is yours.
You'll collaborate across every function of the org. The role is remote-first with occasional travel to HQ, partner meetings, industry conferences (NRA Show, MURTEC), and company offsites.
Why You Belong Here and How You Will Grow
Slang AI is for people wired to overachieve - not because someone's watching, but because they can't help it. We move fast, care about craft, and hold ourselves to a high standard. If you love the hospitality industry, believe AI is infrastructure, and get energized by building from scratch, you'll find your people here.
This role sits at the center of our GTM strategy. You'll have visibility across every revenue motion, a voice in planning conversations, and direct impact on how Slang AI grows. As the company scales, so does the Partnerships function: more partner types, more complexity, and the opportunity to build processes along the way. The skills you develop here compound for an entire career.
What Success Looks Like
  • You build and execute a partnership strategy that embeds Slang AI with established industry Partners, producing increased brand awareness and more favorable integration structures.
  • You sign and activate a portfolio of integration partners with clear onboarding programs and performance SLAs for each tier.
  • Every partnership you activate unlocks market segments, customer conversations, or product capabilities Slang AI couldn't reach efficiently alone.
  • You build an internal partner-champion culture: Sales, Marketing, and CS know how to work through partners and actually do.
  • Pipeline contribution, activation rates, co-marketing ROI, and revenue attribution are clean, accurate, and visible to leadership on a regular cadence.
  • You represent Slang AI at key industry events in a way that reinforces our brand as a category-defining, AI-native company.
  • You proactively identify whitespace and bring leadership business cases for new partner types, verticals, or ecosystem plays.

What You Will Bring
  • 6+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, or channel sales, with at least 3 years in B2B SaaS, ideally in vertical SaaS serving SMB, MM, and ENT-market customers.
  • Proven track record of building partnership programs that deliver revenue: signed deals, activated partners, and numbers to back it up.
  • Experience negotiating complex partnership agreements: revenue share, co-sell motions, referral arrangements, and integration deals, with a working knowledge of the commercial levers involved.
  • Strong cross-functional instincts. You've worked closely with Sales, Marketing, RevOps, Finance, and R&D and know how to build the internal trust that makes external partnerships succeed.
  • Familiarity with the restaurant tech ecosystem or an adjacent vertical (hospitality, retail, SMB SaaS). Preferred: existing relationships with POS providers, reservation platforms, or restaurant marketing tools.
  • Active, fluent use of AI tools in your daily workflow for research, partner analysis, drafting, or deal intelligence. We're AI-native and expect our team to reflect that.
  • Experience with Hubspot, maintaining data hygiene and a metrics-driven approach to performance.
  • Preferred: experience launching co-marketing programs, building partner enablement content, or managing a small partnerships team.

How Work Affects my Life
As Director of Partnerships, your work shapes Slang AI's growth and the broader story of how AI is transforming the restaurant industry and you'll feel that in every partnership you close.
  • Work primarily remote with occasional travel to partner meetings, industry conferences, and company offsites
  • Competitive base salary, performance-based commission, and equity package
  • Comprehensive benefits including health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Professional development budget and access to key industry events and networks
  • Contribute to a mission that's genuinely reshaping how restaurants connect with their guests

This role will deepen your understanding of how category-defining companies build ecosystems and give you firsthand experience doing it.
Compensation & Location
Location: Remote
Travel: 25%
Base Compensation: $127,000 - $150,000
Variable Compensation: 10% annual performance commission (~$15,000 at target)
On-Target Earnings (OTE): $140,000 - $165,000
Equity: Included in offer package
Our Vision
Calling a business shouldn't feel like a robot-hostage situation, where you're forced to listen to horrible music and can't reach a human, while enduring a soulless voice uttering "I'm sorry I didn't quite get that" on repeat for eternity. (shudder) That's why we started Slang AI We use the latest AI and audio wizardry to make transacting via voice so enjoyable it's more human than human. By 2030, we will save businesses and consumers 1 billion minutes of precious time while transforming voice channels into the preferred mode of communication (it's faster and easier than text).
We have backgrounds building product at companies like Spotify, Buzzfeed, the New York Times, and OpenTable -shipping experiences that have reached hundreds of millions of users. Now, we're using our backgrounds to start a new culture, one that puts product and human-centered design above all else while fostering constant learning and growth. Sound like something you'd like to be part of? Get on board.
Our Values
Overachiever Fever. We're overachievers (we don't know any other way)
AI Native. We don't just sell AI. We are Al.
Humility Ability. We approach each other with curiosity and openness (know-it-alls not welcome!)
Be A Good Host. We build for hospitality. We should embody it.
About Slang AI
Slang AI is redefining customer engagement through conversational AI, making every interaction seamless and efficient. Our mission is to transform the restaurant industry by providing the ultimate voice AI solution for consistently outstanding customer experiences.
At Slang AI, we believe how we build matters just as much as what we build. We foster a culture rooted in hospitality, ownership, and clarity, where every "Slangsta" feels valued, supported, and connected to the broader impact of our work in the AI-powered future of restaurants.
